Now let’s answer some questions you folks have had…
The fabrics are good quality. They also have basic fabrics and premium fabrics. You know the difference because the premium fabrics cost a little more. Normally a premium fabric is made out of better quality products but is also lighter. This means it won’t be as heavy when you wear it. For me, the suits I wear everyday are normally basic fabrics, because they are a little heavier giving them a more durable feel. My tux’s are made out of premium fabrics as I don’t wear them everyday and want them to have a premium look.
Tailoring online can be a little scary, what if you don’t get it right? Well Sumissura have videos to show you exactly how to take each measurement. This is easier if you have someone to help but often I do it myself. So you should get a perfect fit first time around. However if you don’t, Sumissura will refund up to 25% of the suit cost for you to take it to a local tailor to get it altered. If its more than 25% send it back and Sumissura will make you a new one with the new measurements. You can find out more here.
Suit’s start at $228 US and $269 AUD. They are customisable in heaps of ways, however a lot of these will start costing you a little more, but are reasonably priced.
Not sure if a women’s tailor can give you the dapper extras you want on your suit? Sumissura does have less options than their men’s site Hockerty. However a number of time’s I have asked for options that are only on the men’s site. My tux’s couldn’t be purchased with all the required accents so I emailed Sumissura. I asked if I designed my suit could they add the tux options they offer in their men’s store? They were more than happy to assist. This meant not only did I get satin lapels (which are offered by Sumissura) but also satin buttons, pockets and stripes along the pant leg, so a full tux. I’ve also asked to have button holes put on lapels and a wing collar put on a shirt to go with my tux (different collar options aren’t available on the site). The process if you want to add to accents from the men’s site is to email Summisura about what you want. Then buy the base suit through the online store, they will then send a money request for the additional accents you want, which you can to pay through PayPal.
